WCCH Foundation
The West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) Foundation is a non-profit organization with 501(c) (3) status. It was established in 1995 to provide an avenue by which philanthropists and humanitarians could actively participate in the promotion of the health and welfare of our community by making tax-deductible donations. Funds from these donations are used to assist WCCH in purchasing essential equipment, in participating in health-related community activities and events, and in supporting specific programs to which donors designate funds.
Restructured in 2010, the WCCH Foundation consists of a fifteen member board, and has made unique operational advancements, strengthening its ability to provide support to the hospital and its surrounding communities. Several initiatives are currently underway to assist the hospital in providing a base for the operation of several outpatient services such as oncology, radiology, laboratory, and orthopaedics.
The WCCH Foundation traditionally hosts annual benefits to accomplish its mission to help the hospital. Past events include:
- Dancing with the Stars Event
- Annual Mac Burns Golf Tournament to benefit the WCCH Foundation
- Thanks for the Memories Tribute Event Honoring Marilyn Dawdy
- Healer with Medicine and Music Tribute Event Honoring Dr. Roger Grimball, Sr.
The WCCH Foundation is vital to the continued enhancement of healthcare services in Southwest Louisiana. For more information on the WCCH Foundation or on how your contribution positively impacts our community, call (337) 527-4144.
