What We Offer: Equine-Assisted Occupational Therapy (Hippotherapy)

Hippotherapy for Motor, Sensory & Neurodevelopmental Gains
 Using the horse’s natural, rhythmic gait — which closely mimics human pelvic and trunk motion — our hippotherapy program helps patients improve balance, coordination, core strength and postural control. This gentle, whole-body movement supports vestibular development and neuromuscular function, aiding individuals in achieving greater mobility, stability and functional independence. 

Tailored For Many Needs & Conditions
 We serve individuals across a wide range of physical, developmental, neurological and sensory conditions. Our program supports children ages 2 through 16 with:

• Visual-motor or visual-perceptual dysfunctions
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Attention disorders (ADHD/ADD)
• Cerebral palsy or neuromuscular disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis)
• Down Syndrome
• Sensory integration dysfunction
• Developmental delays and cognitive challenges
• Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other acquired disabilities

Holistic, Individualized Therapy Plans

We provide personalized equine-assisted occupational therapy designed to meet the unique needs of each patient, because we know that no two individuals are the same. Our licensed occupational therapists tailor every session to support physical, sensory and functional goals — from improving posture and coordination to enhancing daily-living skills.

Using the horse’s natural movement, therapy becomes an engaging and effective experience that promotes confidence, independence and measurable progress. Here, the horse is a key partner in healing.
