Sulphur, LA (February 19, 2026) – West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) is pleased to announce that Thea Alcantara Tran, BSN, MBA, CPHQ, CPHRM, CPPS, CHSP, has assumed the role of interim chief nursing officer while continuing her current leadership responsibilities.
Tran has been with WCCH since 2018 and brings more than 20 years of healthcare management experience. In addition to her interim role, she serves as chief quality and compliance officer, compliance and privacy officer, ethics liaison/Section 1557 coordinator and risk management lead.
Tran works closely with hospital leadership, physicians and staff to advance organization-wide strategies that promote excellence in quality, patient safety and patient experience. She provides strategic oversight of risk management, compliance and ethics programs, ensuring the hospital remains aligned with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Tran earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from McNeese State University and holds multiple professional certifications in quality, patient safety and risk management. Her extensive clinical and operational experience, combined with her proven leadership in regulatory and quality oversight, provides stability, continuity and strategic direction for the organization during this interim period.
