West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) and the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Foundation is launching a community-wide thank you campaign in appreciation of the many businesses and individuals who have shown overwhelming support and generosity during the COVID-19 pandemic and aftermath of Hurricanes Laura and Delta.
“Our ‘Thank You’ campaign will highlight how truly grateful we are for the outpouring of compassion shown by our community during one of our most challenging years,” says Janie Frugé, CEO of WCCH. “As we look toward Thanksgiving and the natural time of giving thanks, we felt it was the ideal moment for us to reach out to our community and let them know how much we appreciate and feel their support. Of course, we’ve thanked them directly but we wanted everyone in their company as well as people in our community, to know of their generosity. We can all use some good news during these times and we’ve certainly felt the support of our businesses and community during this challenging year,” explains Frugé.
The multichannel campaign will include the placement of feather flags and yard signs at business and local industries who made significant donations and demonstrated profound support to WCCH during these challenging times. In all, 25 feather flags and 75 yard signs are being installed at area locations.
“Our entire hospital team remains on the front lines in the battle against COVID, and then dealing with the major destruction to our community and service area from the two hurricanes, this year has been especially difficult,” explains Anne Billeaudeaux, executive director of the WCCH Foundation. “Whether it was a tray of sandwiches, personal protective equipment supplies, or a monetary gift, it was truly appreciated and we want to express our gratitude for the unwavering support from this community.”
The campaign is scheduled to continue through the end of December.
