Ken Thomas, MD, Elected 2023 President of WCCH Medical Staff

Ken Thomas, MD, family medicine physician, was recently elected president of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital’s (WCCH) medical staff at the annual general medical staff meeting. As president, Dr. Thomas will work with the medical staff and team members to ensure the quality and efficiency of clinical services and performance within the hospital.

In his term, Dr. Thomas will serve as chairman of the Medical Executive Committee and organized general medical staff, and will attend WCCH Board of Commissioners meetings. 

Dr. Thomas practices alongside Maureen Lannan, MD, family medicine physician, at The Cypress Clinic, located at 622 Cypress Street in Sulphur. He is a graduate of LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  Dr. Thomas is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the American Association of Family Practice.
