The food service aide assumes the responsibility for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation, assembly, distribution, pick-up, and clean-up of patients meal trays. Responsible for serving attractive, well garnished, and well organized patient trays with the utmost accuracy and speed. Maintains proper food temperatures consistently and dissembles and cleans trayline. 

High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to read, write and follow instructions both verbal and written.

Previous cooking experience is desireable: hospital/health care setting preferred. Knowledge of proper body mechanics, skills to operate kitchen equipment, portion control, emergency procedures, (particularly in the event of a fire), and knowledge of Health Department Standards.
