I am Bill Hankins, and it is my privilege as Chief Executive Officer to serve with over 650 dedicated employees and 135 medical staff at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Our hospital has provided health care for west Calcasieu and northern Cameron parishes for over 56 years, offering a range of services which have grown and developed over the years, from diagnostic imaging to acute patient care to health and fitness programs.

Our number one priority is serving our community, providing exceptional health care with a strong commitment to meet the needs and expectations of each patient that visits our facility. In an effort to achieve these goals, we have initiated several projects including the purchase and installation of a state-of the-art information technology system, which will assist physicians and caregivers in the management of patient information.

In 2006, voters in West Calcasieu and a portion of Cameron Parish approved a $25 million dollar bond issue, allowing the hospital to construct a new facility and purchase capital equipment. Phase 1 of the expansion, which houses a new Admissions Department, Intensive Care Unit and Radiology Department opened earlier this year. The hospital will enact its plans for Phases 2 and 3 as funds become available. It is our belief that continued advancements in each of these areas will make West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital a strong leader in health care in the local community and surrounding areas.
