The state of Louisiana offers a no-cost health insurance program for pregnant women called LaMoms. These health benefits are being offered by Louisiana Medicaid and allow a higher income and fewer requirements than other Medicaid programs. The program is available to any pregnant woman, married or single. Applications for LaMoms are available in the office and assistance can be provided in completing the forms.
Physician-supervised care is provided by Marilyn Watson, APRN, a certified women's health nurse practitioner. She works in cooperation with OBG-1 physicians Ben Darby, MD and Scott Bergstedt, MD.
